Job Description:

The Senior Investment Accountant role focuses on investment/insurance accounting, reporting, data maintenance, and team mentorship within the financial consulting industry.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of investment accounting reports
Maintain and improve investment accounting data and systems
Offer mentorship and team guidance
Handle complex work assignments
Prepare compliance/regulatory reporting
Execute and lead key controls for audits
Serve as an investment accounting consultant
Assist with data analysis for investment processes
Enhance investment system data
Resolve daily cash reconciliation issues
Develop investment accounting policies and procedures
Empower team members and share relevant information
Coach others in process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
3-5+ years of insurance/investment experience
Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is essential
Familiarity with general ledger and journal entries is required
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary for data analysis and reporting
Experience with month-end close processes is desirable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for liaising with clients and team members

Nice to have:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Experience with month-end close processes is desirable
