Job Description:

Drive accounting and reporting processes for investments and collaborate on compliance optimization; Provide leadership guidance to accountants and take an active role in implementing systems or process changes

Job Responsibility:

Prepare moderately complex monthly and quarterly journal entries for investments across multiple legal entities
Produce detailed monthly and quarterly investment holdings reports
Oversee investment accounting processes for a variety of transactions
Assist senior leadership in implementing new accounting projects and standards by documenting procedures and establishing controls
Lead or participate in enterprise and team projects (e.g., new systems or processes)
Offer work direction to a Senior Accountant on investment-related tasks

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of financial instruments
Strong knowledge of investments, GAAP, and statutory accounting standards
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to lead through change
Exceptional attention to detail with a “big picture” mindset
Advanced technical proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools
Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end process flows, systems, controls, and impacts across business lines
Proficient in Financial Reporting
Experienced in Statutory Financial Reporting
Prior experience with Institutional Investment and Investment Funds
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills
Experience with accounting software and databases

Nice to have:
