Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to support our Australian law firm in property law and corporate & commercial law. This role offers exposure to Australian work culture and career progression opportunities. The candidate will handle legal research, document drafting, case coordination, and administrative support tasks, working with a dynamic legal team and utilizing innovative technology.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review legal documents and forms such as contracts, transfer forms, and settlement statements
Conduct legal research and compile findings for property law, corporate & commercial law
Oversee conveyancing files from initiation to completion
Assist in smooth and timely settlements process
Assist with client communications, scheduling client meetings, and case updates
Utilize PEXA and LEAP software for case management
Organize, update, and maintain digital files in compliance with firm's procedures
Assist with billing, calendaring, and other administrative tasks
Work effectively with the Australian team to deliver financial reports and compliance documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with exposure to Australian or common law legal systems
Proficiency in LEAP is highly regarded and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is necessary
Excellent command of English (both written and verbal)
Strong attention to accuracy and detail, especially in document preparation and data entry
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Familiarity with Australian legal processes and terminology
Previous experience in property law, corporate & commercial law

Nice to have:

Experience in using LEAP Practice Management Software
Familiarity with Australian legal processes and terminology
