Job Description:

The Development Marketing Senior Manager will have ownership of the development and execution of compelling marketing materials to support the APEC Development team in identifying, pitching for, and successfully closing on opportunities for new hotels, directly contributing to the company’s growth. The successful candidate will also work directly with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and Development team in sourcing and analyzing data that will assist in preparing business cases for internal and external audiences. The position will also be building relationships with industry professionals, real estate brokers, and other stakeholders to expand Marriott’s reach.

Job Responsibility:

Own the development and implementation of the yearly integrated Marketing plan
Manage global Hotspot sales tool for the region
Partner with Development associates on RFPs and presentations
Collaborate with partners in Brand, Development, Feasibility, Operations, Revenue Management and other disciplines
Act as key liaison with regional brand team
Manage industry conference sponsorships and speaking opportunities
Organize and host receptions for owners and the investor community
Assist the CDO on both internal and external executive-level presentations
Manage a shared platform that houses all data and marketing resources
Serve as a point of contact for Development associates for data and marketing
Serve as the APEC representative as part of the Global Development Marketing organization

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree
Strong command of English language
5+ years of work experience in Consulting, PR, Marketing or Development Marketing
B2B experience or good understanding of the hotel development process
Ability to work with and understand data
Keen eye for design and exceptional creative and critical thinking skills
Superior attention-to-detail, high degree of initiative and resourcefulness
Proactive, with sound judgment and strong business acumen
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Executive presence with the ability to work with and present to all levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Skilled at PowerPoint
Experience with photo/video editors (e.g. Canva) and print (e.g. InDesign) publishing tools
Experience working in commercial or hospitality real estate advisory

Nice to have:

B2B experience or good understanding of the hotel development process
