Job Description:

The Senior Meeting and Special Event Manager plans and executes meetings and special events, ensuring seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales where appropriate. The role involves managing profitability, ensuring exceptional customer service, and conducting human resources activities.

Job Responsibility:

Plans and executes meetings and special events
Assists in the implementation of departmental strategies
Executes event management strategy aligned with the company’s business strategy
Conducts daily walk-through of banquet floor to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
Develops working relationships with outside vendors
Creates opportunities to upsell during event planning
Manages department controllable expenses
Ensures exceptional customer service
Conducts human resources activities

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
