Job Description:

Our Client is looking at hiring a Senior Network Engineer to supplement the existing teams in relation to Network, Gateway, Identity and Access Management, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cloud Operations. This is a 6-month contract role based in Wellington. All candidates should have a valid work visa. Secret Clearance required.

Job Responsibility:

Design in detail and implement connection from restricted network
Implement custom flows within the Cross Domain Solution for information exchange
Build and configure virtual machines on host server
Configure switches and firewalls
Rack network hardware for various classifications
Implement LAN/WAN connectivity
Produce patching schedule
Commission switches, firewalls, and INEs
Validate switch port connectivity
Build resilient Gateway interface and apply firewall rules
Raise and obtain Change Control approvals
Remediate penetration test findings
Enable PKI certificates

Requirements:

Experience developing and updating network/gateway solution designs
Juniper Network Certified Professional (JNCIP level) or similar working experience
Palo Alto Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or similar working experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong agile experience
DevSecOps experience desirable
ITIL qualifications, or demonstrable skill in ITIL
