Job Description:

As Senior NodeJS Software Engineer, the role involves building resilient and scalable APIs, leveraging cloud technologies and agile methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable digital solutions. The position also entails writing and reviewing code, maintaining technical documentation, and exploring innovative technologies.

Job Responsibility:

Build resilient and scalable APIs for Aetna Health customers
maintain a user-centric and business-priority approach in design
collaborate with stakeholders like Engineering Manager, Architects, Quality Assurance, Business Partners, and Project Managers
translate business requirements into engineering components
deliver reliable and performant products
collaborate across cross-functional teams
write, debug, and troubleshoot code
perform code reviews and execute tests
explore new tools and frameworks to improve solutions
create and maintain technical documentation
contribute to project planning and development methodologies

Requirements:

5+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of NodeJS development with TypeScript
2+ years of Cloud Experience, preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
1+ year of experience working in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services
understanding of various database solutions (SQL, NoSQL)

Nice to have:

Experience developing GraphQL APIs
exposure to product/services development, cloud-based platforms such as Azure or GCP
professional experience with PostGres SQL on AWS
professional experience with DynamoDB, AWS Simple Queuing Services
excellent verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills
adept at growth mindset skills
adept at execution and delivery skills
