Your primary focus will be on particle and powder characterization, analyzing critical attributes such as size, morphology, and surface area. The goal is to gain insights into bulk behavior, including powder flow, density, permeability, and shear properties.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct laboratory experiments to perform in-depth characterization of particle and powder properties of active ingredients, excipients, and drug product intermediates
Design, set up, and execute experiments while integrating results to meet project deliverables
Collaborate closely with teams working on Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Drug Products (DP) to enhance product development
Continuously evaluate and improve analytical characterization strategies to support CMC development projects
Contribute to internal innovation projects by assessing novel characterization techniques and modeling approaches
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP, and safety standards
Stay up to date with scientific advancements in pharmaceutical analysis
Requirements:
PhD in Chemical (Bio)Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Expertise in particle sizing technologies such as Laser Diffraction and Microscopy (Image Analysis)
Strong understanding of the relationship between particle properties and bulk behavior, including material processability
Experience in powder property characterization (such as powder flow, shear testing, triboelectrification properties)
Knowledge of statistical methodologies like PCA/PLS
Experience in crystallization and/or pharmaceutical formulation and process development is a plus
Strong project management and communication skills
Team player with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
