Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer at CVS Health, you will build scalable APIs for Aetna Health customers using cloud technologies. You will collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams and create solutions fulfilling business priorities. Responsibilities include designing, developing, maintaining software systems, integrating components, ensuring interoperability, optimizing performance, securing solutions, and enhancing innovation.

Job Responsibility:

Build resilient and scalable APIs for Aetna Health customers using latest cloud technologies
Perform API creation from discovery through design, development, and its production maintenance
Collaborate with Engineering manager, Architects, Quality assurance, Business partners, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, and Project managers
Develop high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability
Write code and software components to implement complex functionalities
Integrate and ensure seamless communication between software components
Write and execute test cases, conduct code reviews, and resolve issues
Participate in SAFe agile or other development methodologies
Explore new tools and techniques to improve digital solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements:

5+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of NodeJS development with TypeScript or Javascript
3+ years of Cloud Experience, preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
2+ years of experience with domain driven design (DDD) and microservice architectures
2+ years of experience designing architectural solutions based off product requirements and considerations for both server and client needs
Strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services
Understanding of various database solutions

Nice to have:

Experience developing GraphQL APIs
Exposure to product/services development, cloud-based platforms is highly preferred (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS)
Experience with queues, websockets, malware scanners, messaging & chat architectures, and form submissions
Experience with building AI solutions & tracking model and feature performance, used to derive next steps in a feature’s lifecycle or opportunities for optimization
Understanding of common security vulnerabilities, to industry standards, and experience anticipating and addressing security concerns in solutions and code
Excellent verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills
Experience creating solid documentation to capture solutions for implementation and historical reference
