Job Description:

The job involves supporting young people in care within a trauma-informed residential home, focusing on their emotional, behavioral, and life skill development. Responsibilities also include mentoring and guiding staff, ensuring a structured and safe environment, and supporting young people through challenges.

Job Responsibility:

Building trusting relationships with young people and acting as a positive role model
helping young people to develop life skills, confidence, and independence
managing challenging situations with empathy, patience, and de-escalation techniques
ensuring a safe and structured environment in line with safeguarding regulations
supporting less senior staff on shift with decision making, guidance, and working with management to implement training and development.

Requirements:

Experience in children's residential care is essential
must hold Level 3 in CYP
clear demonstration of leadership experience
strong communication, de-escalation, and behaviour management skills
fundamental understanding of safeguarding procedures and their importance
full UK driving licence
resilience, empathy, and commitment to supporting young people through complex emotional and behavioural challenges.
