Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst at a growing private equity owned manufacturing company. Our workplace is located in Walnut Creek, California, United States.

Job Responsibility:

Manage federal and state tax compliance, provide data to external tax preparers, and review returns
Review, process, and track extension and quarterly tax payments, ensuring accurate reconciliations
Prepare and file forms like 1042-S, W-8BEN, and FinCen 114
Prepare and review federal and state tax provisions and related analyses
Prepare monthly tax provision journal entries and management reports
Conduct monthly balance sheet and tax expense account reconciliations
Develop tax expense budgets and cash flow projections for tax payments
Maintain tax fixed asset registers and ensure accurate cost/depreciation tracking
Assist with internal/external audits, preparing workpapers and responses
Address tax notices and research business tax issues
Handle other tax-related projects as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Business/Accounting with 5+ years of tax provision experience
CPA or advanced tax degree preferred
Advanced Excel proficiency
Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and record-keeping expertise
Excellent written/verbal communication and ability to collaborate effectively
Strong ability to manage tasks efficiently and stay organized
Capable of handling multiple time-sensitive tasks and meeting deadlines independently
Energetic, eager to learn new tax and business areas in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

CPA or advanced tax degree
