Job Description:

We’re engaged with a reputable insurance firm and are searching for a Senior Underwriter to join their Custom Market Facing Team based. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting new business and managing portfolio renewals within the scope designated by the Head of Line of Business. You will also play a key role in supporting sales initiatives and fostering strong relationships with brokers to ensure the achievement of financial goals.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee new business submissions, issue quotes, and manage policy amendments while providing authority to underwriters
Monitor non-tacit renewals, issue renewal proposals, and support portfolio performance analysis
Assist Business Developers in sales initiatives, foster relationships with brokers, and grow a knowledgeable producer network
Collaborate across departments, ensuring adherence to personal authority limits and technical guidelines while developing team talent
Participate in product launches, marketing campaigns, and other innovation initiatives
Stay updated on compliance and procedural changes to ensure all activities align with laws and regulations
Provide reports to the Head of Line of Business and Head of Custom

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting the line of business
Desire to work towards relevant professional qualification
Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize
Computer literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Business level English (B2 or higher) and Spanish proficiency
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Law, Economics, Business Administration or similar)
