Job Description:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations oversees all aspects of construction operations for a leading commercial construction company. This executive role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The SVP leads strategic planning, operational execution, and business growth while fostering strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams across the country.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee nationwide commercial construction projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company and industry standards
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term operational strategies to enhance productivity, cost control, and project execution
  • Project Oversight: Provide high-level guidance on project planning, scheduling, and risk management to ensure successful project delivery
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with finance teams to monitor budgets, forecast costs, and drive profitability
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency, implementing best practices and new technologies
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor regional and project teams, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards across all job sites

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience with 10+ years as a VP of Operations. leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of construction operations, project management, and financial oversight is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead large, dispersed teams across multiple regions
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $75 million in revenue
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as needed
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Undergraduate degree is required
