Job Description:

A leading construction firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a major prison extension project. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a project with significant social impact.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to the construction of a new prison extension, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and security
Provide technical expertise and support to the construction team, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and safety protocols
Oversee setting out and leveling operations, ensuring accurate placement of structures and utilities
Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards
Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards, including stringent security protocols specific to prison construction

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale construction projects, ideally with experience in institutional or high-security building projects
A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to prison construction
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software for setting out and leveling operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges
A commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards
Ability to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
