Job Description:

Join the Observability team within IKEA’s IT & Digital Solutions department to work on hybrid cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and open-source Observability solutions in a collaborative and agile environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • responsible for architecture and continued development of logging, monitoring, and event management offerings
  • follow market trends to explore, research and ensure solutions create impact
  • collaborate on stability and operations for Observability solution features
  • use Terraform, Cloud Build and other tools for automated CI/CD pipelines
  • promote Product mindset
  • contribute to improvements in ways of working
  • support design specifications and alignment
  • work closely with other functions for end-to-end business delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems and/or software engineering with proficiency in at least one programming language
  • operational experience with the Grafana stack
  • experience with Observability management products and cloud management at scale
  • minimum 3 years of experience of working in agile/iterative software development teams
  • expertise in Terraform, Github Actions, Argo CD to create fully automated CI/CD pipelines
  • deploying/supporting solutions in a hybrid infrastructure
  • hands-on experience related to Cloud Platforms (GCP and/or Alicloud), containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) deployments and CI/CD pipelines
  • strong analytical skills, experience in debugging, code optimization, testing
  • demonstrable experience with cloud computing environments
  • excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • automation of application deployment in a containerized environment
  • experience managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying applications using Helm, Kustomize, Tanka
  • coding skills in Python or Golang
  • use of the Grafana stack with Loki, Tempo & Mimir
  • availability and capacity management in hybrid deployments
  • understanding compute, network, and storage infrastructures in cloud environments
  • work planning, tracking, and documentation using Jira/Confluence and GitHub
  • verifiable code contribution to open-source projects
  • open telemetry instrumentation insight.
