Job Description:

Robert Half is currently hiring a Software Engineer for our client in Madison, WI. In this role you will be tasked with developing and maintaining full stack applications across projects. You'll work closely with a diverse team of tech leads, developers, product owners, QA, and coordinators on a regular basis and be an integral part of the team.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with tech leads, developers, product owners, QA, and coordinators regularly to ensure the success of projects
Develop and maintain backend systems for integration projects, ensuring their efficient and effective functioning
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using programming languages such as Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of payment systems
Utilize your strong proficiency in JavaScript to build dynamic and scalable web applications
Apply your practical experience with TypeScript in typing and object-oriented programming
Leverage your expertise in integrating payment systems and/or payment providers for the benefit of our projects

Requirements:

Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages
Demonstrable experience with React.js for front-end development
Extensive knowledge in Node.js for back-end development
Proficient in PostgreSQL for database management
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and individually
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
