Job Description:

NSW Government is seeking multiple Specialist Assessors to assist in processing grants for individuals and communities affected by natural disasters. You’ll play a vital role in assessing applications, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria, and supporting payments for grants, rebates, and vouchers.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct thorough and timely assessments of grant applications
Apply relevant knowledge, legislation, and procedures to make informed decisions
Provide accurate and empathetic communication to customers regarding application outcomes
Respond to enquiries and complete administrative tasks efficiently
Support customers with complex issues and determine appropriate resolutions

Requirements:

Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team
Strong customer service skills
Experience in grants, rebates, and voucher administration (preferred but not required)
Experience using Salesforce and Genesys (preferred)
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach

Nice to have:
