Job Description:

Being a Sr Controls Engineer at Baxter involves providing critical engineering support to manufacturing areas, ensuring process optimization, conducting validation activities, troubleshooting equipment, and designing control systems for automation projects. Working in a collaborative environment, you will take an active role in continuous improvement projects and support the delivery of life-saving products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing areas
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering staff, technicians, and supervisors
  • Analyze plant manufacturing capacity and process optimization
  • Execute and report on validation activities
  • Perform engineering studies on new equipment
  • Initiate or revise protocols and operating instructions
  • Perform NCR/CAPA investigations and tasks
  • Manage and execute change control activities
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment and processes
  • Design and install control systems to support automation projects
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on projects relating to new and existing product lines.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering required (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred)
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated ability in a similar role
  • Experience in a regulated industry is a plus
  • Proven understanding of machine design, AutoCAD, and PLC Programming, troubleshooting and project management required
  • 5+ years Allen Bradley & Rockwell PLC experience Servo control systems (Rockwell, Allen Bradley and Yaskawa)
  • Ability to read and write electrical schematics
  • Hands-on mechanical skill set is a plus
  • AutoCAD and Solid Edge drafting skills is a plus
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
