Being a Sr Controls Engineer at Baxter involves providing critical engineering support to manufacturing areas, ensuring process optimization, conducting validation activities, troubleshooting equipment, and designing control systems for automation projects. Working in a collaborative environment, you will take an active role in continuous improvement projects and support the delivery of life-saving products.
Job Responsibility:
Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing areas
Provide technical guidance to engineering staff, technicians, and supervisors
Analyze plant manufacturing capacity and process optimization
Execute and report on validation activities
Perform engineering studies on new equipment
Initiate or revise protocols and operating instructions
Perform NCR/CAPA investigations and tasks
Manage and execute change control activities
Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment and processes
Design and install control systems to support automation projects
Coordinate with cross-functional teams on projects relating to new and existing product lines.
Requirements:
BS in Engineering required (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering preferred)
5 or more years of demonstrated ability in a similar role
Experience in a regulated industry is a plus
Proven understanding of machine design, AutoCAD, and PLC Programming, troubleshooting and project management required
5+ years Allen Bradley & Rockwell PLC experience Servo control systems (Rockwell, Allen Bradley and Yaskawa)
Ability to read and write electrical schematics
Hands-on mechanical skill set is a plus
AutoCAD and Solid Edge drafting skills is a plus
