Our team is searching for a Sr Software Engineer to work with other software engineers, network and systems engineers to craft, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. Our team actively participates in architecture and design of various software components passionate about crafting applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms and technologies! We work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Architect and implement scalable telemetry solutions using Grafana, Thanos, Victoria Metrics, and other related technologies
Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of cloud infrastructure and applications
Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions
conducting tests and inspections
preparing reports and calculations
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of telemetry systems, ensuring minimal latency and high throughput
Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in cloud infrastructure and applications
Contributes to designs to implement new ideas which apply new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and product managers, to define telemetry requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices for telemetry and monitoring
Design and implement data collection strategies to gather metrics, logs, and traces from various cloud services and applications
Analyze telemetry data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues, providing actionable insights to improve system performance and reliability
Maintain comprehensive documentation of telemetry systems, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures
Generate regular reports on system performance, availability, and key metrics for partners
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering or other technical subject area
4+ years technical engineering experience
Well versed in the cloud / container space, preferably Kubernetes on AWS/Azure or On-prem along with microservice architecture/distributed systems architecture
Experience in at least two of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, Go
Understanding of cloud-native/12Factor design principles
Experience with CI/CD Pipeline systems like Gitlab/GitHub
Communication: Able to ensure that information is passed on to others who should be kept advised. Express self clearly in conversations and interactions with others. Strong business and technical writing skills
Customer Focused: Ability to demonstrate concern and meet external and/or internal customers’ needs
Analytics: Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach
People Skills: Validated ability influencing others
