Job Description:

Robert Half is hiring for a Sr Systems Analyst in Rochester, New York. The role involves managing IT environments, implementing security protocols, overseeing system updates, and mentoring team members. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, 5+ years of technical support experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the setup and maintenance of servers, networks, and IT environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational guidelines
Oversee system updates, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for technical support when needed
Document system configurations, policies, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency
Evaluate, test, and implement software updates and new technologies to enhance system efficiencies
Mentor team members by serving as an escalation point and guiding problem resolution
Drive automation and efficiency by utilizing scripting tools like PowerShell
Support maintenance and development within the organization’s cloud-based productivity suite

Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of relevant technical support experience
Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage projects effectively
Industry certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications) are advantageous
