Job Description:

Our trusted client is seeking a Sr. Accountant Consultant for a long-term project. This hybrid role is located in Novi, Michigan and will report directly to the Director of Accounting.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct General Ledger clean up tasks
Undertake forensic accounting to identify and fix unsupported Journal Entries
Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Leverage Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Enterprise for accounting tasks
Ensure smooth Month End Close processes
Provide assistance to internal auditors if required
Participate in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) if needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Capability to handle Bank Reconciliations
Strong understanding of General Ledger
Experience in handling Journal Entries
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage Month End Close tasks efficiently
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Enterprise is a plus

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Enterprise
Assistance to internal auditors
Participation in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
