Job Description:

We are in search of an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in White Plains, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our company's financial health. You will be responsible for account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. This role is a perfect fit for someone with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and a keen eye for detail.

Job Responsibility:

Manage account reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies promptly addressed
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, verifying the accuracy of data and making necessary corrections
Oversee bank reconciliations, comparing our internal records with bank statements to identify any discrepancies
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process
Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Work collaboratively with other team members to streamline accounting procedures
Provide support for internal and external audits
Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
Hands-on experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated experience in managing Month End Close
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Experience with financial software and systems is preferred
Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
