Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity in Denver, Colorado for a Sr. Accountant in the construction/contractor industry. The role will be focused on maintaining the financial health of the organization, processing customer applications, keeping accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
Maintain accurate customer credit records
Prepare monthly and yearly fiscal financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations and general ledger entries
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset system for book and tax reporting
Prepare personal property tax and annual filings for multiple states
Assist in the preparation of annual and mid-year budgets/projections
Analyze and implement new accounting standards according to GAAP
Process accounts payable checks, vendor ACH’s, and employee ACH’s
Code monthly office rent invoices and calculate new lease standards
Guide entry-level accountant and other staff
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable when necessary
Support the potential implementation of accounting software and adherence to internal controls and policies and procedures

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry
Proven expertise in Month End Close procedures
Demonstrated ability in Financial Statement Preparation and audits
Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements, Cash Flow Statements and Reports
Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation
Proven ability to manage Vendor Payments
Experience with Fixed Asset Systems and maintaining Fixed Asset Records
Skilled in Coding Invoices
Experience in System Conversion and Implementation
Knowledge of Tax Reporting requirements
Proficient in using Sage 100 software
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a must
