Job Description:

This role is integral in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This includes bank reconciliation, general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure accurate execution of bank reconciliations
Manage and maintain the general ledger
Prepare journal entries and synthesize complex financial data
Handle month-end close procedures
Execute account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Conduct regular ledger reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies
Utilize Microsoft Excel to streamline account management and reporting
Operate the Banner system for financial management
Oversee fixed asset accounting to ensure proper recording and depreciation

Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accountant role or similar position
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a must
Strong understanding and practical experience with General Ledger management
Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Proven experience with Month End Close procedures
Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting in an educational or similar environment
