Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in MEMPHIS, Tennessee. In this role, you will be expected to perform a range of accounting duties, including managing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process customer credit applications to ensure efficiency
Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate
Perform regular account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage the general ledger and perform journal entries
Handle both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks
Assist with month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various tasks
Continually develop and improve upon advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Visit and perform accounting duties at two facilities as needed

Requirements:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Nice to have:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred but not mandatory
