Job Description:

As a Sr. Accountant at Robert Half, you will oversee the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of industrial real estate properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and collaborate closely with the accounting and property management team. This role is based in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the day-to-day property accounting tasks, including the posting of journal entries and managing cash flow
ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly financial statements
manage the month-end close process for all properties in the portfolio
track and monitor capital expenditures against budget and ensure accurate accounting treatment
review and approve invoices for payment, ensuring they are accurately coded and paid in a timely manner
oversee the preparation of quarterly and year-end CAM reconciliations
monitor accounts receivables and communicate potential collection issues
review new lease agreements and confirm accurate entry of lease terms into Yardi
assist in debt compliance monitoring and lender reporting
participate in the annual audit process
review annual budgets for the assigned portfolio
perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
proficiency in Yardi, Yardi Property Management, Yardi Enterprise, and Yardi Software
expertise in Property Accounting
familiarity with Commercial Real Estate
capable of handling high-level accounting tasks
advanced knowledge of financial reporting and taxation
proven record of managing financial audits and legal issues related to accounting
excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
strong understanding of business ethics related to financial management
excellent communication and leadership skills
ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
comfortable using accounting technologies and software.
