Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, located in Akron, New York. The Sr. Accountant will be instrumental in processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing insightful financial planning and forecasting.

Job Responsibility:

Understand and manage the monthly sales cycle
Handle A/P payment cycle and contribute to the month-end closing process
Leverage strong financial background for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Utilize strong ERP knowledge to manage financial data
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications
Maintain precise customer credit records
Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Record and manage journal entries
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

Requirements:

Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
Strong knowledge and experience in General Ledger and Journal Entries
Experience in Month End Close procedures
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
Superior organizational and multitasking abilities
Strong knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations

Nice to have:

Experience with Infor LN or SAP
