Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Energy/Natural Resources industry for a Sr. Accountant. In this role, you will play a key part in our accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information while supporting critical decision-making processes.

Job Responsibility:

Ensuring compliance with ASC606, ASC842, SOX
Mentoring entry level staff members and providing guidance
Handling general accounting duties and maintaining the integrity of financial information
Reconciling account balances and bank statements
Reviewing and updating the general ledger
Preparing and posting journal entries
Conducting month-end close procedures
Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
Operating accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

Requirements:

Ensuring compliance with ASC606, ASC842, SOX
Mentoring entry level staff members and providing guidance
Handling general accounting duties and maintaining the integrity of financial information
Reconciling account balances and bank statements
Reviewing and updating the general ledger
Preparing and posting journal entries
Conducting month-end close procedures
Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
Operating accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
Possess strong skills in account reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation, with the ability to identify and rectify any discrepancies
Experience in conducting bank reconciliations, ensuring the company's financial records match those of the bank
Demonstrates a solid understanding of the general ledger, and the ability to maintain and manage it effectively
Capable of preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex functions and formulas for financial analysis
Experience in performing month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and reported on time
Proficient in using NetSuite for accounting tasks, including account management, financial planning, and reporting
Experience with Oracle, particularly its financial management solutions, is a must
Familiarity with SAP, particularly its financial accounting and controlling (FICO) module, is needed
