Job Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The primary function of this role is to manage and oversee various accounting tasks within our industry. This includes maintaining accurate records, processing transactions in line with U.S. GAAP, and managing customer inquiries.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Execute month-end close procedures and prepare timely financial statements for assigned entities
Certify financial statements through bank and balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Respond to requests from management, teammates, customers, vendors, and other internal/external parties in a timely manner
Assist in Accounts Payable functions, such as invoice processing, payment run process, and vendor maintenance
Ensure excellent customer service by providing accurate financial information and promptly resolving any discrepancies found during the account reconciliation process
Foster an innovative mindset by recommending or assisting with the implementation of system and process enhancements
Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required
Maintain accurate customer and vendor records and resolve customer inquiries promptly

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
Practical experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus
Knowledge of Construction Accounting and Construction Applications Software
Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP regulations

Nice to have:
