Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Sr. Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial department. You will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial records, performing complex accounting tasks, and preparing financial reports. This role is essential to maintain our financial health and make sure we meet our business goals.

Job Responsibility:

Handle bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements
Perform journal entries as necessary to maintain the general ledger
Execute month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting
Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
Handle account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Collaborate with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant or in a related role
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the General Ledger
Demonstrated experience with Journal Entries
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
