Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant with experience in processing payroll in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is integral to our team, focusing on the efficient and accurate processing of payroll and associated accounting functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and payroll tax reporting among others. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate directly with a CPA CFO on a one-on-one basis.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the processing of payroll transactions
Coordinate with the HR department for timely processing of employee updates
Maintain and update records of payroll transactions
Ensure accuracy in payroll disbursements
Verify quarterly tax reports and reconcile year-end payroll processing of W2s
Prepare and submit journal entries for all payroll transactions
Assist in annual audits
Prepare invoices related to payroll and benefits
Conduct intricate payroll data preparation and analysis
Utilize problem-solving skills to research, analyze, and retrieve data

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar position
Expertise in account reconciliation
Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliations
Ability to prepare and manage journal entries
Experience in handling month-end close processes
Prior experience with payroll management for 101-500 employees
Familiarity with audit preparation
Experience in billing and billing functions
Expertise in payroll tax reporting
Proven skills in problem resolution
