Job Description:

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the higher education sector, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be required to work cross-functionally, manage grant accounting, and handle financial budgeting. While this position operates predominantly in a hybrid model, there will be occasional requirement to work on campus.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee full cycle accounting processes
Conduct cross-functional project management tasks
Utilize PeopleSoft for various accounting operations
Handle grant accounting responsibilities, with a focus on NIH grants
Assist in creating and maintaining profit and loss statements
Implement budgeting and forecasting strategies to support financial planning
Collaborate with different teams to manage and regulate financial budgeting
Monitor customer accounts and execute necessary actions when needed
Efficiently process customer credit applications and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant
Proficiency in PeopleSoft is required
Experience with Grant Accounting is a must
Familiarity with Nih is expected
Proven experience in Cross Functional Project Management
Ability to manage Profit and Loss
Experience in Full Cycle Accounting is crucial
Strong skills in Budgeting are required
Experience in Budgeting - Forecasting is essential
