Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Plano, Texas. This role will encompass a variety of tasks, including tax compliance, accounting processes, and client reporting. The Sr. Accountant will also be instrumental in fostering strong client and team relationships, as well as contributing to growth strategies within the team.

Job Responsibility:

Execute tax compliance activities for both individuals and businesses
Navigate complex tax laws to provide insightful guidance to clients
Support on special tax projects and initiatives
Review diverse tax returns
Manage accounting processes and crucial reporting for clients
Foster strong client and team relationships
Mentor and develop talent
Collaborate on growth strategies with partners
Maintain timely and effective communication
Oversee and execute balance sheet and bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Perform activities related to income tax audits, income tax accounting, and income tax compliance
Handle bookkeeping tasks and full charge bookkeeping duties

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
Demonstrated experience in Month End Close procedures
Expertise in Annual Tax, Federal Tax Return, and Income Tax Audits
Proven ability in Income Tax Accounting, Income Tax Compliance, and Income Tax Return preparation
Knowledge and experience in Individual Tax Return preparation and Local Tax regulations
Strong skills in Bookkeeping and Full Charge Bookkeeping
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is REQUIRED
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
High degree of familiarity with accounting and tax software
Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
