Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team in Albany, New York. As a Sr. Cost Accountant, your responsibilities will revolve around managing accounting functions, performing cost analyses, and implementing budget processes. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and maintain inventory costing and standard costing
develop and maintain bill of materials, ensuring their accuracy
utilize accounting software systems, preferably Sage, for various accounting tasks
execute cost accounting and manufacturing tasks efficiently
perform auditing tasks to ensure compliance and accuracy
employ cost management strategies to optimize resources
conduct cost estimations and cost allocations for various projects
act as a problem solver, capable of taking initiative in the role

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
thorough understanding of Accounting Functions
experience in Auditing
familiarity with Budget Processes
expertise in Cost Accounting
ability to perform Cost Analysis effectively
knowledge of Sage Accounting Software
understanding of Cost - Basis
experience with Cost Allocation methods
skilled in Cost Estimations
competent in Cost Management

Nice to have:
