The Sr Director, Talent Development defines the strategy, implementation and improvement of programs that build organizational talent now and for the future. Leads centralized learning and talent development across lines of business/business functions assesing needs, designing solutions and implementing effective methods for sustaining an effective learning culture. Supports the organization in achieving business objectives through learning for all, leadership/executive development, reskilling/upskilling the workforce, talent mobility, DE&I learning, apprenticeships and optimization of learning technology and platforms. The Sr Director is a key contributor to strategic decision making related to talent management and workforce planning. Responsible for building and leading a team of L&D strategic professionals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to elevate our talent.
Job Responsibility:
Devise an overall organizational learning and development strategy in alignment with T-Mobile’s strategic growth plan to drive transformational change, develop organizational talent and align initiatives across LOBs/functions
Build and own the end-to-end skills based organizational strategy, including deploying technology and mechanisms for skills to talent, jobs, and learning and connecting those mechanisms to strategic talent and workforce planning levers
Partner effectively with a wide array of stakeholders from executive leaders to HR and L&D team members in assessing, designing, and implementing solutions to organizational learning and talent development strategies
Own and drive strategic learning and development programs and initiatives that drive continuous improvement and achievement of business objectives through our talent now and in the future
Lead a team of L&D managers, providing day-to-day coaching, performance feedback, career counseling and development
Lead assessment and evaluation through data analytics from talent development programs and feedback sources to derive key insights on talent management
Requirements:
10+ years’ experience in a Sr. Leadership capacity, including strong knowledge of learning and talent development practices
7+ years’ experience in creating and delivering workforce initiatives/programs through involvement in program strategy, operations, talent change management, transformational initiatives, learning development & delivery or related experience
7+ years’ experience in working with Executive level business leaders
Bachelor’s degree Human Resources, Business Management or related area of study or equivalent years of experience
