Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Firewall Engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for managing and maintaining Checkpoint Firewalls, overseeing routing and traffic flows, and handling IP subnet security. This role also involves working with data center routers and switches, and ensuring the security of our systems.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and maintain Checkpoint Firewalls to ensure the security and integrity of our systems
Oversee routing and traffic flows to optimize network performance and redundancy
Handle IP subnet security, implementing measures to safeguard our network
Work with data center routers and switches, including Cisco 8300 and Cisco 9300
Utilize the TLS Security Protocol for secure data transmission
Apply your analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
Manage Certificate Authority Vendor, overseeing the certificate process and implementing MTLS protocols
Work with virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare, to optimize our network infrastructure
Use your knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies to enhance our network performance
Implement AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, and Configuration Management to support our services in the data center

Requirements:

Minimum 7 years of experience in a service industry role, preferably as a Firewall Engineer
Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a must
Familiarity with Checkpoint tools and techniques is required
Extensive experience with Cisco ASA is essential
Ability to operate and troubleshoot Cisco Routers effectively
Thorough understanding of Cisco Technologies is necessary
Experience in AB Testing is desirable
Knowledge of various Backup Technologies is important
Ability to manage Computer Hardware effectively
Proficiency in Configuration Management is required
Experience working in a Datacenter is a plus
