Job Description:

The role involves handling complex litigation cases in commercial business and corporate law, from their inception through to trial. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including drafting discovery pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions, and advocating in the courtroom.

Job Responsibility:

Handle complex litigation cases from inception to trial
Draft and review discovery pleadings and motions
Conduct and defend depositions
Represent the interests of the client in the courtroom
Maintain a strong record of academic achievement
Adhere to all professional and ethical guidelines
Handle corporate formation and structuring, capital raises and private placements, and employment and securities law issues
Negotiate complex commercial contracts
Utilize skills in Complex Business Litigation, Complex Commercial Litigation, and Complex Litigation to effectively manage and resolve cases

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the state bar where the job is located is mandatory
7-15+ years of experience in Complex Business Litigation, Complex Commercial Litigation, and Complex Litigation
Demonstrated ability to handle large, complex litigation cases independently
Excellent analytical, research, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills
Proficiency in legal research software and other related software for case management
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once
High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changes
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
