Job Description:

A short-term role situated in the energy industry for a Sr. Procurement Consultant focusing on sourcing goods and services for several drilling subsurface wells contracts. The role is remote and requires expertise in procurement, compliance, market analysis, and supplier management.

Job Responsibility:

Procure essential goods and services for various energy contract awards
Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies and regulations
Leverage experience in the energy industry, specifically in oil exploration and the gas industry, to make informed procurement decisions
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the efficient execution of procurement tasks
Monitor market trends and perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies
Maintain and update records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts

Requirements:

Knowledge of procurement for the energy industry, preferably with a focus on strategic sourcing and vendor management
Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with corporate goals
Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of securing cost-effective deals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to inform procurement decisions
Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results in a timely manner
Proficiency in procurement software and other relevant IT tools
Detail-oriented
