Job Description:

The role is central to our operations, ensuring the smooth running of tax and accounting services. As a Sr. Tax - Public, you'll be tasked with preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning and advisory services, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately prepare and review tax returns for various entities including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Offer tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and capitalizing on tax-saving opportunities
Provide year-round tax support, including handling extensions, quarterly estimates, and audits
Analyze financial statements to decipher tax implications and ensure accurate reporting
Swiftly respond to client inquiries and offer solutions to tax-related issues
Conduct research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance
Foster and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive guidance and support
Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality service
Keep up-to-date with changes to federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations
Utilize accounting software systems efficiently and effectively for tax preparation and other accounting functions

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Active CPA license preferred
3-5 years of public tax experience, including tax preparation and advisory services
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
Proficient in tax preparation software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
