Job Description:

We are actively searching for a Staff Accountant to be a part of our team in Monmouth County, NJ. As a Staff Accountant, your role will involve processing journal entries, performing month-end reconciliations, maintaining records for fixed assets, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.

Job Responsibility:

Execute the preparation of journal entries, ensuring all invoices are accurately coded
Carry out various month-end reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data
Maintain and manage accounting records for fixed assets
Participate in year-end auditing processes by preparing necessary schedules and providing supporting materials and explanations
Prepare and present monthly inventory reports
Keep records of all financial documents, updating them as necessary, and ensuring they are supported by appropriate material
Collaborate with the Information Management department to initiate modifications/enhancements to computerized systems
Proactively engage with other departments and team members to drive process improvements
Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and reports on changes in financial position/budget variances
Establish and maintain business relationships with operational and sales organizations
Utilize your knowledge of accounting and various software packages to enhance financial processes and reporting

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field
Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Ability to record and analyze Journal Entries
Strong understanding and application of GAAP Accounting principles
