Staff Accountant

• Prepare and manage financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for client assignments
• Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and standards
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for clients
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations professionals, to address accounting discrepancies and develop efficient processes
• Assist with audits, whether internal or external, by gathering and organizing required documentation
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes for various client organizations
• Advise clients with research on accounting standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., GAAP)
• Adapt quickly to fit seamlessly into client teams, maintaining professionalism and representing Robert Half’s high standards of service

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with a solid understanding of GAAP principles and practices
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar tools
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and data manipulation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with great attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the flexibility to thrive in various team settings
• CPA and/or MBA is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to travel to local client offices for assignments (if applicable)
