Job Description:

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Liverpool, New York. In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Job Responsibility:

Efficiently process customer credit applications
Maintain and update customer credit records
Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner
Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary action when required
Assist with the weekly job costing process
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate accounting
Post cash receipts and enter pay applications
Handle some aspects of accounts payable
Conduct monthly processing of credit card bills
Track down receipts and ensure they are properly recorded
Maintain the general ledger and assist with quarterly costs
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
Familiarity with General Ledger processes
Experience in creating Journal Entries
Experience in Month End Close procedures
