Job Description:

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, managing low volume accounts, and preparing journal entries. This position is based on-site and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process and manage bank reconciliations
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation on a regular basis
Handle low volume accounts and ensure their accurate management
Prepare and manage a significant amount of journal entries related to bank reconciliations
Provide assistance with Accounts Payable tasks for larger vendors
Utilize Excel for various tasks, including working with Pivot Tables and Vlookups
Work with the Great Plains accounting software
Report to the Assistant Controller and collaborate with other team members as necessary

Requirements:

Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and management
Skilled in managing and executing Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks
Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
Deep understanding of the General Ledger and its functions
Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries accurately
Proven experience with Month End Close procedures
Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software

Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software
