Job Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in NAUGATUCK, Connecticut. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating various aspects of our accounts payable and receivable. Your responsibilities will also include bank reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Coordinating the accounts payable (AP) functions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices
Managing and maintaining the accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely collection
Assisting with monthly closing procedures and journal entries
Conducting regular bank reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
Maintaining and updating the general ledger on a regular basis
Utilizing various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient accounting operations
Assisting with other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
Demonstrable knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations
Solid understanding of General Ledger operations
Experience with Journal Entries and Month End Close
Familiarity with NetSuite as an accounting platform
Proficiency in Oracle financial software
Experience with QuickBooks software
Knowledge of SAP financial system
