Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Financial Services industry, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Staff Accountant, you will be a key player in our accounting team, handling reporting, consolidations, contributing to the month-end close, and analyzing financial reporting. You will also have the chance to work on process improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to the preparation of financial statements or other supporting notes and disclosures for SEC reporting process, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Collaborate with investor relations and financial planning and analysis in the earnings release process
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analysis of expenses as part of monthly close and consolidation duties
Prepare journal entries in the general ledger system
Collaborate with both internal and external auditors, providing necessary support
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the accounting and reporting processes
Carry out ad hoc accounting, reporting or financial analysis projects, providing management with insights as requested

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in Public Accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Demonstrated experience in Auditing and Financial Statement review
Solid understanding of Financial Statements preparation and analysis
Understanding Consolidations and Month End Close processes
Advanced Excel skills
Understanding of the Financial Services industry
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
