Job Description:

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records for our operations. Based on site at our corporate headquarters in Reston, VA, this role offers a unique opportunity to advance your accounting expertise and grow alongside a company that values your skills and professional development.

Job Responsibility:

Evaluate, analyze, and review journal entries submitted by operational teams to ensure they are accurate, complete, and appropriate
Perform monthly reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
Account for fixed assets, maintaining accurate book and tax history records
Prepare and review internal management reports to support decision-making processes
Interact with operations personnel to obtain explanations, support account balances, and analyze activity

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
At least 1 year of general ledger and account reconciliation experience within a large company or Public Accounting background
Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail in all aspects of your work
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to convey insights clearly and professionally across teams
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with a strong understanding of accounting principles
