Job Description:

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In the real estate industry, your role will be critical in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accounting standards are met. Additionally, you will assist with budgeting and forecasting. This role requires being physically present in our office.

Job Responsibility:

Overseeing financial transactions and preparing financial reports for properties
Ensuring our accounting practices align with accounting standards
Assisting with the creation of annual budgets and financial projections
Monitoring lease agreements and ensuring compliance with financial obligations
Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
Processing invoices, reviewing tenant billings, and overseeing collections to ensure timely payments
Performing regular reconciliations of bank statements and property accounts
Calculating and reviewing Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges and ensuring they are properly allocated to tenants
Supporting tax filings, property tax payments, and ensuring adherence to local and federal regulations

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience with Bank Reconciliations
Familiarity with General Ledger operations
Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close processes
Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
Knowledge and experience with Oracle financial software
Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks
Familiarity with SAP financial software
