Job Description:

An non-profit group in the Oakland area is in need of a temporary to hire Staff Accountant! The role is temporary to hire and offer a hybrid schedule-3 days onsite and 2 days at home. Parking is discounted. The work hours are 830am-445pm but are flexible.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the Purchase Card (P-card)
Audit journal entries and accounts payable vouchers to verify accuracy and propriety of transactions
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring timeliness and adherence to company guidelines
Reconcile bank deposits and payments, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed
Compile and analyze financial data to support the preparation of tax returns and the annual report
Generate special reports to meet regulatory deadlines and government filing requirements

Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor's degree is required
Non-Profit experience is a plus
Prior Staff Accountant experience is required
Proficiency in Blackbaud is a plus

Proficiency in Blackbaud
