Job Description:

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Santa Monica, California. In this role, you will be tasked with handling a variety of accounting duties, including the processing of financial transactions, payroll administration, and preparation of financial reports.

Job Responsibility:

Handle the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
Conduct Bank Account Reconciliations
Administer payroll processes
Prepare budgets, financial statements, and reports
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
Oversee Insurance Renewal & Claims Management
Manage cash flow
Assist in the preparation of annual tax documents
Act as a liaison between the company and outside vendors
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform month-end close procedures
Maintain the general ledger
Process prepaid expenses and journal entries
Utilize accounting software, such as Sage, for efficient financial management

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience in conducting bank reconciliations
Strong understanding of the general ledger and ability to maintain it efficiently
Ability to prepare and make journal entries
Experience in executing the month-end close process
Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software
Ability to manage prepaid expenses and understand associated accounting procedures
