Job Description:

As part of our accounting audit team, you will be a key player in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. This role is crucial in handling high volume transactions for our clients expanding retail presence in the US and Canada.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Payable payments
  • Utilize Excel and 365 as key reporting tools
  • Handle tender and payment processing responsibilities
  • Assist in month-end close activities, including preparation of bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • Play a key role in the setup of new stores, including managing change orders with the bank and requesting merchant IDs with Amex
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations as needed
  • Maintain strict attention to detail in all accounting tasks
  • Manage high volume transactions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in the audit of sales records and reports
  • Use your skills in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Excel, and D365 to perform your duties effectively

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is mandatory
  • Must be capable of managing and maintaining the General Ledger
  • Should have experience with Journal Entries
  • Must be skilled in performing Month End Close procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
  • Experience with D365 software is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
  • Previous work experience as a Staff Accountant or a similar role is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work is mandatory
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset are required
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively is essential
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of working independently, and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with accounting software and applications is a plus
  • Detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus but not mandatory
